Teen gangraped by three men ran for several hundred metres to escape

Rajasthan: A 16-year-old girl ran naked for nearly half a kilometre as she tried to escape three men who had gangraped and beaten her up on Monday evening in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan.

Police have arrested three men – Narayan Gurjar(40), Kailash Kahar and Raju Kahar both around 25 – in connection with the incident after the victim’s mother filed a case against them. A case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The incident happened when the girl and her friends were on their way to a fair when the three men, who were consuming liquor, blocked their way.

While the friends of the girl managed to escape, the men kidnapped the girl, dragged her to a secluded area in a nearby field and gangraped her. They also tore off her clothes and beat her up.

The girl somehow managed to escape and ran without her clothes. Terrified, the girl ran for about half a kilometre and then she met a shopkeeper whom one of the girl’s friend sought for help. Even the shopkeeper took a while to convince the girl that he was there to help her and he offered her clothes a senior police official said.
